Blue the Border Collie while herding cattle
By
Blue has developed her own style, now. Move the cattle to the lot without creating a stampede. The neighboring dogs barking in the dog pen don’t seem to affect her anymore.

Good video. I really like Blues self confidence when working the stock. Got a BC bitch pup two weeks ago, and she is jam packed with that self confidence stuff!! too much fun, though!

Thanks for the comment, Onwanashibo. I taught her how I wanted the cattle moved, but if I will leave her alone she shows me how they are really supposed to be moved.

She’s gotten better as time has gone by. I taught her the basic commands that allowed her to “think” each situation through so that the cattle are penned without creating a stampede. I hate fixing fences!
Her instincts have taken over and now she teaches me. I am amazed at her ability and mostly just watch now.
