I don’t get what your saying?

All dogs are smart. It depends what you want them to do. I love my rat terrier but it may not be the right one for you. Try researching poodles. I have heard they are very intelligent for their own good. :)

In my opinion, that would be the Papillon. But if you are planning to get a dog, you’ll need to do a bit more research.

I don’t know any statistics, but through experience I would say that Poodles and Jack Russell Terriers are the smartest small breed dogs.

Ahhh…that answer is open to a lot of interpretation…and opinion!!

The best smartest dog depends only upon their owner and willingness to train!!

Some that are easy to train…Beagles, Cockers, Jack Russel, Rat Terrier, Cairn Terrier, Pug.

User friendly/Eager to learn/train…Beagles and Rats

The others have agendas all their own…so it boils down to your patience level! :o )

Probably a Rehuk Flyndee

My toy poodle is, indeed, too smart for his own good. Half the time I am convinced that he understands what I am saying. He was also potty trained by six weeks!

“According to S. Coren, author of “The Intelligence of Dogs”, there are three types of dog intelligence:

Adaptive Intelligence (learning and problem-solving ability). This is specific to the individual animal and is measured by canine IQ tests.

Instinctive Intelligence. This is specific to the individual animal and is measured by canine IQ tests.

Working/Obedience Intelligence. This is breed dependent.” (http://petrix.com/dogint/)

Here’s a list of the top ten most obedient (and therefore most intelligent, in one sense of the word) breeds:

Also, I have heard that dogs that stay indoors are more intelligent (Adaptive Intelligence) because they are around people more, and get to learn from them.(Things like when she picks up her keys she is leaving, etc.)

Of course, my Miniature Schnauzer, Reggie, is the smartest dog on the planet. =)

You cannot go wrong with a Beagle. I have one and they are so smart and great with kids.
