I can see why they’re called papillon dogs. Those ears really do make a butterfly shape.

omg so cute:)

I just wanted to let you know that my papillon goes crazy every time I play this video… he really likes your dog! I posted a video of him yesterday (I also video commented it here) called Baloo the Papillon so you can see him if you want! I’ll take a video of his reaction to your dog, it’s pretty cute :)

What a pretty Pap! Nice coloring. Aren’t papilions fun?!

@TheVampyressjessika
If you haven’t, please take him to see a Veterinarian right away. If he checks out ok at the vet, give him time and a high quality dog food, never yell at him or hit him. Don’t play rough with him. Just give him a good, safe, loving home and he will eventually learn that he is in a safe place and learn to trust you. Hand feeding him for a while might help.

Gorgeous Doggie! I might be getting one in a couple of months!

@inulovspeg u dont know wat ur talking about. papillons were bred to be lap dogs. i have one and i take it for walks every day and it behaves just like this. they are just hyper dogs

11

Soo beautiful! This is my dream dog right here. :)

12

I have two papillons! They are tiny when pups…children might hurt them easily. I love my papillons. They are playful, smart and well behaved! Remember to train your dog and you’ll have a wonderful “shadow” wherever you go.

PS…my pappy talks just like this one….he wants to play! That’s All…they get plenty of exercise running around the house, they are small only about 8 pounds! They love walks too, but hate the rain!

13

LOL they were never cattle dogs. And this dog is just trying to be playful and get attention. It’s normal and not a sign of being under-exercised.

14

All of ours get very hyper without at least 2 hrs of walking and at least another hr or two of fetch or dog chasing. They’re too high energy to just be regular lap dogs.

15

inulospeg Papillons were never origionally bred to chase cattle they were lapdogs but from spaniel lines. Papillons actually don’t need long walks although they do love them and are well able for them they will happily go for a nice normal walk like any dog and then plonk. They also act the clown even if they have had plenty of excercise they’re real messers.

16

My dog looked just like this one but we got rid of her a couple weeks ago:(

17

really sweet :D

18

inulovspeg…plz stfu

Gosh! You really are cruel to animals. You probably have animals at home. If so I feel real sorry for them.

It depends on what you want in a dog. My mom has a papillon and I have a border collie. The papillon can keep up with my collie. I have an agility course set up in the backyard for my dog and the papillon loves running it too. I just have to lower the jumps for her. Lol. If you’re prepared to deal with a high energy dog, then a papillon would be a good choice. If you want a more laid-back dog, then I would recommend that you consider other breeds.
