What do you think is a good asking price for white english bulldog/rottweiler puppies? Or should they be free?

By admin

My white english bulldog just had 9 puppies and I only want one of them so I was gonna try and sale them if possible. I know that they are considered muts but I’ve seen muts sold before. I’m not sure what a good price would be $50, $25, or should I give them away for free? Please help.

give them away to a good home and to someone who will get their shots and stuff. try to maybe give them to someone who will take in multiples of 2 so they wont be lonely?
post some pics?

It is fair to charge a reasonable price to cover the costs of the vaccinations, worming and other vet care you will have to put into the litter. Most shelters charge between 50.00 and 150.00.

Document your costs and vet visits to provide to the new owners so they know that they are paying for upkeep and nothing more.

You shouldn’t of let the pair of them breed in the first place.

Whatever you do do, either give them or sell them, just make sure that you find EXCELLENT homes, and best of luck with that as it is harder than you think. And don’t forget to tell all the puppy homes that they MUST come back through you should they ever need to be rehomed for any reason at any point in their life.

Oh and just hope the new unsuspecting owners don’t have thousands of dollars to pay out on genetic faults that you haven’t tested for like a good friend of mine has just had.

Her words are —- If I got my hands on his breeder ……. Hope your pups new owners never have to feel like that about you.

Sorry but do not do as Accident Prone has mentioned — NO GOOD BREEDER SELLS TWO PUPS TO THE SAME PERSON. Big mistake.

Cost to fix your bulldog + Cost to fix your Rott + Cost to fix the puppies before they leave + cost of vaccinations for the puppies ÷ the number of puppies.

$250 to fix both dogs
$550 to fix all the puppies
$100 for all the vaccinations
÷ 9 puppies
————————-
$100 per puppy.

And please give a MAJOR donation to your local shelter.

Mutts of two health uncleared parents?

Shelters are full of those!!

They should be free and you should learn more about dog breeding ethics.

I would charge for their shot, so around 100bucks each. that is all.

I think that the most important thing is that they go to a good home and that you make them sign an agreement that if there is any abuse you have the right to take them back, check out their home to make sure that they are not being put into a bad one.

For prices, I would charge the price of the shots and vet bills. I find that when they are free that people take them for that reason alone.

Just be very careful on who you give them too.

If you’ve had the puppies wormed, vaccinated, and checked out by a vet, it would be reasonable to ask for enough to help cover those vet costs. If you haven’t given them any vet care, maybe $10-20 would be the most you should ask for. In either case, finding them good, carefully screened homes should be your first priority, so that they don’t end up in a shelter in 6 months or a year. Have your dog spayed as soon as the pups are weaned, and either spay/neuter the puppies before sending them to their new homes or make sure that the pup’s new owners are responsible enough to have it done. Some people ask a higher price for the puppies initially, and then refund all or most of the purchase price when the new owners provide proof of spaying/neutering.

NEVER give them away for free unless you know for sure they will go to a good home. There are too many bad people out there that will take advantage or the free dogs.

There was a show on Oprah a couple of years ago where police went into a dog fighting ring and saved a puppy that the dog fighter got for free. They had a pinned to a pool and the other dogs were “killing” it. Luckily the puppy was saved but it had lost its ear.

I have also heard stories of people getting the free kittens and feeding them to their big snakes.

I is HORRIBLE was some people are capable of. So just don’t take the chance. Be VERY careful of who you give the puppies away too. If you put a price on them, then that will keep then bad people away, even if it is $25.

If you now the people will be good parents, then do it for free!

And PLEASE, spay your dog!

My first question to you is WHY did you allow this litter to happen in the first place, when the shelters are so full of unwanted dogs anyway?

Please, when these puppies are gone, have your dogs spayed and neutered. We do not need any more dogs ending up in piles like this:

You do plan to have the puppies shots and wormed, correct? Keeping them till 8 weeks of age? I would sell them for about $50 each and CHECK CHECK CHECK the buyers to be sure they are going to responsible homes where they won’t be used for fighting.

Please try to show a BIT more responsibility than you did in breeding this litter.

Free? No. Ask a realistic price for the puppies, which you base on the purchase price of a dog from your local rescues. The purchase price should cover the cost of vaccinations, worming & spay/castration for the puppy.

If someone is unable to pay $100, then it’s unlikely they have the money to take care of whatever medical bills a dog may present them with further down the line.

Be careful when screening the homes & I would suggest you ask why people are interested in this particular mix & what they plan to do with the dog.

Good luck finding responsible homes for the litter.

$50. This will help some with the cost of worming & initial shots. Pray you can find 8 good, responsible homes for these pups. Lots of purebred Rottweilers in the shelters aren’t even adopted & are put down. Please do the responsible thing & spay/neuter your dogs.

we always gave ours away free to good homes. they had to promise if they didnt want them anymore or couldnt keep them they would bring them back to us and we had to approve of the people before they took a puppy and meet their family to ensure they were decent and fit to take a puppy, tho you never really know anyone and people can put on acts. but theres no problem asking 25-50 dollars. i wouldnt go higher than that tho as you can adopt from a shelter in some places for 15.00. so people don’t want to pay alot. really to be technical every dog even a purebred is a mut. every single dog is mixed with something to create that breed and every dog is a wolf mix wheather it be from generations back.
