why doesnt my puppy like me!?!?
Byi have had my papillion lilly since about july and when my family got her she loved me like crazy she would never leave my side… but now she doesnt love me as much she loves my mom and dad. i play with her all the time and pet her but she never seems to love me back! how do i make her love me again??? also is it true that if you take responsibilty for your dog (like feeding and cleaning their sh*t) do they love YOU more than the other person doing it?

If you were the one feeding and taking care of her, then she would transfer her affection to you

If you scold your puppy more than your parents do that could be the reason…
And aren’t you the person who was just freaking out because your puppy wouldn’t stop throwing up and all you cared about is how bad the vomit smelled?

I doubt you care much for your dog.

More importantly, does she respect you? Have you done any obedience training with her to show her that YOU are the one in charge, the one that dispenses food and whatnot?

Well, start giving your little pup some treats and new toys.
Play with her and cuddle her, and bring her outside.
Sometimes it is true that they like you better when you take care of them more, but also, sometimes they get sick of you being with them all the time being taken care by you, so they go after the people who never ever pet them…like, me and 2 of my sisters take care of our puppy, but she likes to go after my mom and dad, and other sisters, and brother (I have 8 siblings)

It is your dog, you should be the caretaker of it. They do always bond more with the one who spends the most time with them. Just make sure the doggy duties are done by no one else but you.

your puppy probably liked you in the beginning because it was scared and was looking for comfort. Now he or she is more comfortable with his/her surroundings. And yea i think dogs like people who feed them lol

oh my gosh that is exactly what is happening to me my dog loves my parents more than me and i try to play with him and stuff but i dont take care of him like my parents do maybe that is the problem

I’d advise:
- Playing with it.
- Teaching it tricks
- Feeding it it’s favorite food
- Feeding it breakfast dinner etc.
- Letting it smell your hand – So it can get your sent
- Take it for walks
If you’re the one that loves it and cares for it will love you back. Though if it doesn’t realize it won’t love you.
So make sure you give it a lot of attention.

oh those r so cute! lol I have a maltese and when i 1st brought her home she followed me everywhere cry when i showerd b/c she wasnt with me! but then she started getting OBSESSED with my mom! i do everything for her and she loves me but is my moms lil stalker lol thats what we call her. she doesnt wanna sleep w/ me and gets jealous when other ppl hug my mom. (ya she has a lil bit of issues haha lol but we love her)
not much u can do just love her as much as u can, play with her, walk her. she DOES love you she just has a preference for some weird reason like my dog.
